Your eventual goal might be to drop a dress size, or run a marathon. What you need to consider when setting time frames for goals is how much activity or what type of activity you are doing at present. If you are not presently exercising, your initial goal should be to start making the time to exercise and feel good that you have started, then build up gradually from there.

Keep making and achieving the smaller goals rather than focussing solely on your eventual goal to keep your motivation high.
