When you start training with me, I always carry out an assessment of strength and flexibility relationships in your body. Then set about restoring the balance to your body combining strength training, stretching and sports massage.

Injury Prevention

Injuries frequently occur when our body have established a compensation pattern. What this means is that if a certain muscle is tight and a joint is not able to operate through its full range. Other muscles may be inhibited from working, this means that the compensatory muscles are working too hard which can result in an overuse or chronic injury.

Recovery from chronic injuries

If your injury has been a nagging pain ongoing for more than 6 weeks it is said that you have a chronic injury. Chronic injuries are frequently harder to treat than acute injuries because compensation patterns have been established. Often the primary injury can lead to a secondary injury because you may have been trying to protect an area of your body that is giving you pain. Early treatment is therefore recommended.

Recovery from injuries and surgery.

If you have had an injury or you may have had recent surgery and you need help after the acute stages. I can assist in your return to full health by increasing your strength, flexibility and self confidence. I frequently work with Physios, Osteopaths, Chiropractors and Orthopoedic Surgeons. If your condition is contraindicated the techniques I use, then I will refer you to a suitable practitioner or doctor.
